Kjaer Weis: The Luxe Organic Makeup Brand You Need In Your Life

The world of organic, “clean” makeup has come a long way in the last 10 years with a whole host of brands now claiming to be natural and less harsh on the skin – some don’t always deliver – but I’ve found the luxury organic makeup line for me – enter Kjaer Weis.

Founded by Danish makeup artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis, the brand was born after Weis recognised a need in the market for high performing, luxurious organic makeup that is also beautifully packaged with lush textures formulated using the highest quality natural ingredients from around the world.

Every batch of makeup is inspected by hand and remains free of parabens, silicones, petrochemical emulsifiers, and synthetic fragrances. Made in Italy, almost all of Kjaer Weis’ products are Certified Natural.

When it comes to packaging, Kjaer Weis knows hows to do it luxe; all products are housed in refillable silver mirrored packaging embossed on with the Kjaer Weis logo in white accents. You can tell when a brand wants their product to be known from across the room, and Kjaer Weis have definitely given their makeup an iconic look.

Let’s take a look at their top products that you’ll want to try and never remove (not that you have to because their products are so natural, you can sleep in them!).

Cream Blush

One of my absolute favourites, Kjaer Weis’ cream blush is a super long-lasting, natural cheek blusher, which provides the best buildable coverage for a soft, velvety finish.

The buttery blush blends like a dream and is a simple and quick way to create naturally flushed-looking cheeks that lasts all day. I also love to use it as a lip tint if I’m lacking space in my handbag.

Cream Foundation

This creamy foundation blends perfectly on all skin types to reveal a smooth, glowy complexion that leaves you looking fresh and radiant. Perfect for reviving the skin at any time of the day.

The finish is buildable on bare skin or also perfect for using over existing makeup for any touch-ups. With a soft, creamy texture, the foundation glides onto the skin smoothly.

Lip Gloss

Kirsten Kjaer Weis apparently calls her lip gloss “treatment for the lips” – it’s so conditioning, sometimes she even applies it like a lip balm as part of her night-time routine.

The ultra moisturising gloss comes in 8 different shades and is super lightweight and non-sticky. The formula is blended with hydrating and plumping Castor and Rosehip Seed oils and imparts a subtle peachy tint. You can wear it solo or layered over lipstick for an ultra-shiny finish.

Give your eyelids long-lasting definition with Kjaer Weis’ luxurious eyeshadows. The matte eye colour is lightweight and applies easily. All 14 shades begin subtly but are easy to build up in layers for a more dramatic night time look.

Key ingredients include bamboo – rich in natural silicone, honeysuckle extract – antibacterial and gardenia Florida fruit extract – antioxidant and works as a natural preservative. One of the best eye shadows I’ve used in a long time – it’s and crease-resistant and lasts all day.

Translucent Pressed Powder

A bit of a cult product, this finely milled plant-based powder leaves you with a soft-focus, light-filtering finish. A bit like applying an Instagram filter directly to your face.

Made up of rice powder and argan oil, this is a must-have for anyone with oily skin to control unwanted shine without drying the skin or as a final step to set makeup or alone to control shine and even out skin tone.

Create the perfect year-round seamless glow with Kjaer Weis’ stunning shimmering bronzer. Key ingredients include Jojoba Seed and Rosa Rubiginosa oils – both ideal for minimising signs of skin aging.

You’ll want to blend into the hollows of your cheeks, under the cheekbones, and the temples for a luminous-sun kissed visage or strategically contour for a minimal touch of shimmer and pop.

Let’s not forget about the Kjaer Weis’ collection of soft and luxurious makeup brushes. Perfect in size for travel or home, they are the ultimate tools for applying and blending.

The brushes deposit the right amount of makeup to your face, whether you’re in need of light or heavy coverage and are made of dermatologist-tested synthetic fibers – making them safe for even the most sensitive skin.

Ultimately, Kjaer Weis is a brand that has it all: textures and high-performance ingredients that nourish the skin, an intelligent and eco-friendly refill system, and stunning signature KW compacts.

This is the brand that you won’t want to be seen without in your makeup bag.
