Bars are places designed to reunite people, share joy over a tipple or two and create great memories with our beloved ones and what’s better than enjoying that company whilst having a good drink with a beautiful view.

Glasgow City is well-known for its pubs and bars, but these Rooftop Bars in the city are a real game-changer. So add these to your bucket list of things to do in Glasgow for when Covid lockdown is lifted and we can once again put on our finery and have a laugh with friends.

Red Sky Bar

Does it get much better than a rooftop bar with a city view? If you’re looking to enjoy this scenic treat for yourself, you’ll want to pay a visit to the rooftop at the Red Sky Bar, located in Tunnel Street, in the trendy Finnieston area of Glasgow.

This rooftop bar is built on the ground of the old and historical shipyards of Glasgow, offering views of both the city lights and the River Clyde which are guaranteed to make you feel like you’re on the set of a movie.

At the Red Sky Bar, not only will you be able to enjoy a beverage and some fantastic nosh, but good music is also a given here as the bar has its very own DJs every weekend from 9pm.

Ubiquitous Chip

The famous Ubiquitous Chip roof terrace is located in the buzzing Ashton Lane in the West area of Glasgow. Popular with students, romantics, and locals, this magnificent bar is well-loved for its stunning indoor decor with touches of greenery and fairy lights galore, a trip to the Ubiquitous Chip is bound to bring some magic to your evenings.

Apart from the enchanted atmosphere of this roof, the wine list of this bar has been awarded throughout the years with over 350 bins from classic old wines to brand new quality ones! If you’re looking for some food, you won’t be disappointed, as you’ll find one of the best menus and some of the most beautifully presented dishes in Glasgow.

Carlton George – Windows Restaurant

Sit back and sip on your cocktails with this stunning view of the city centre of Glasgow at the Windows Restaurant, located on the 7th floor of the Hotel Carlton in West George Street.

Here you will find something to please everyone in your group of friends, as Windows Restaurant boasts three different areas on its rooftop bar: an open-plan kitchen, a windowed area for those who like to stay inside whilst enjoying the view, or the open-air terrace with a panoramic view.

The Corinthian Club

A bright and airy space that’s tastefully decorated, a wide variety of cocktails, and a selection of appetizing bites and main meals, this is just some of what the ever-popular  Corinthian Club has to offer.

Located in Merchant City, you’ll find The Corinthian’s rooftop bar just a few minute’s distance from the tourist’s favourite George Square. The rooftop bar can be described as a combination of Royal Exchange Square and the well-known Glasgow Style Mile.

The terrace is characterised as being subtle and elegant, decorated with sky-high embellished callings with a floral touch and offers a wide view of the City Centre. On this terrace, you will find premier cocktails, bottles and spirits to enjoy.
