Beginning in July, Disney Cruise Line will offer a series of exclusive UK cruises for the summer holidays, complete with live performances, exciting events, and those all-important character appearances.
Located on the Disney Magic cruise ship, guests will have access to a plethora of amenities such as pools, waterslides, a variety of dining options, and some adult-only areas such as a secluded pool and spa.
There will also be plenty of appearances from iconic characters such as Mickey and Minnie, Anna, Olaf, and Elsa from Frozen, as well as Disney princesses and Marvel superheroes.
The cruises will depart on round trips from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle, and London Tilbury, though it’s worth noting that families will be required to remain on the ship for the duration of the voyage.
- Liverpool: Select dates from 15 – 30 July 2021, for 2-, 3- and one 4-night sailings
- Southampton: Select dates from 4 – 30 August 2021, for 2-, 3- and limited 4-night sailings
- Newcastle: Select dates from 3 – 11 September 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings
- London Tilbury: Select dates from 14 September – 1 October 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings
The cruises will go on sale on Disneycruise.co.uk on April 30 at 9 a.m.
According to the company, it will introduce a range of health and safety initiatives for passengers, including COVID-19 monitoring, health checks, face coverings, reduced guest capacity, physical distancing, and enhanced cleaning.
Previously, the cruise line has only operated a limited number of sailings from the UK since it mostly sails from the United States, so this is an incredible opportunity for those who have always wanted to experience a Disney cruise.
Domestic cruises are currently scheduled to start alongside international travel as part of England’s lockdown timeline, with the earliest date being May 17.
As a result, of this many cruise lines are offering UK sailings this summer, while some lines, such as Saga and P&O Cruises, have confirmed that guests must be vaccinated in order to enter their vessels.
