Four Seasons London Park Lane: Revamped Luxury Suites With Floor-To-Ceiling Hyde Park Views

Nestled in the city’s lush greenery and most sought-after luxury retail areas, the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane flawlessly blends award-winning design with the capital’s most exciting attractions. Take in views of Hyde Park from one of the hotel’s stunning suites and rooftop spa, before indulging in a one-of-a-kind al fresco terrace dinner or venture out to the nearby iconic London sights.

We recently spent a weekend reviewing and experiencing the five-star hotel during a stay in the Hyde Park Suite. Here’s what we discovered.

Location

On the location of the original Four Seasons Inn on the Park, which opened in 1970 as the company’s first European hotel, the five-star hotel runs parallel to Piccadilly, which borders the well-known Green Park and its promenade of townhouse mansions.

You can experience some of London’s most famous sights with the guidance of the Hotel’s knowledgeable concierge service and you can travel with ease and style via the hotel’s very own chauffeur service. Guests can indulge in a spot of retail therapy on iconic streets such as Bond Street, which offers various luxury couture, and Saville Row, which offers the best tailors in London.

For guests interested in the arts, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Victoria & Albert Museum in Kensington, which houses the world’s biggest collection of ornamental art and design, is also nearby. You can also enjoy a stroll through one of three Royal Parks and photograph those “must-have” London shots outside the likes of Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, and the dazzling lights that bring Piccadilly Circus to life every evening.

Rooms & Suites

Back in the summer of 2020, the Four Seasons unveiled its newly refurbished guest rooms along with its brand new Hyde Park Suite in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

We were fortunate enough to stay in the elegant Hyde Park Suite, located on the 9th floor and designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon – we were simply blown away by the suite’s panoramic views of London’s famous Hyde Park. The suite was designed with the modern traveller in mind, boasting a wide open-plan living and dining space to create a relaxed “home away from home” atmosphere, providing the perfect setting for socialising and unwinding.

A lavish master bathroom with an ornate free-standing bath and a stunning guest bathroom enclosed by a statement print inspired by the picturesque surroundings and nature are key design features.

Our favourite part of the suite? The Hyde Park Suite also boasts a unique Glass Lounge, a new and exclusive room feature for the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. The quiet and tranquil relaxation area with floor-to-ceiling glass windows is the ultimate peaceful spot to take in the breathtaking views of London by day and night. The Hyde Park Suite also features its own his and hers dressing rooms, complete with hair straightening tools, and the full marble bathroom and separate guest powder room come with luxury Bvlgari toiletries.

In collaboration with British designer Tara Bernerd & Partners, the Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane has also recently remodeled its Superior and Deluxe Rooms. The new guestrooms feature redesigned bedroom layouts that maximize floorplans, offering extra space for visitors. The hotel’s design can be described as modern luxury with an urban flair and timeless grandeur, which can be seen in each space. The Hotel’s renowned position between three of London’s Royal Parks has also inspired the decor with touches of green integrated into the traditional colour scheme to provide a contemporary edge.

Each room has a cutting-edge Wallpaper TV from LG and carpet by the British manufacturer Brintons, which produces carpets and patterns for a variety of projects for Her Majesty The Queen, including Buckingham Palace and other Royal Households.

Food & Beverage

The hotel has two superb restaurants for guests and visitors to enjoy, there’s On The Terrace, a tranquil haven in the heart of Mayfair, where visitors can eat outdoors.  The hotel restaurant, Amaranto, run by Executive Chef Henry Brosi, serves up sophisticated comfort cuisine with classic Afternoon Tea in the Lounge and creative drinks at Amaranto Bar.

Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s Royal Park picnic hampers, which provide an enhanced twist on the favourite British summer picnic and can be enjoyed in the lovely green backdrop of a neighbouring Royal Park.  Guests can choose between the standard hamper, which includes savory nibbles and macaroons from Pierre Hermé Paris, and the deluxe option, which includes afternoon tea and your very own picnic butler.  Each hamper comes with a bottle of Dom Pérignon rosé champagne, which is ideal for a relaxing lunch with friends or a romantic day with a loved one.

The Award-Winning Spa

The five-star Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane features a variety of luxury wellness experiences at the tranquil rooftop haven with a view of London’s skyline. From specialty massages to body treatments inspired by nature and science as well as facial treatments, there’s something for everyone.

The hotel’s latest City Detox Experience at the award-winning spa offers a new range of expertly curated treatments and products targeting key elements of overall wellness: immunity, sleep, and detox.

Once choosing an area of focus – immunity, sleep, or detox – guests then receive a personal consultation with the Spa Director to explore customised treatments and beneficial partner products, followed by a heat experience for relaxation time before beginning a 90-minute customised treatment involving the Immune Recovery Ritual, Deep Sleep Massage, or Detox Body Wrap.

All hotel guests are also free to enjoy the wellness spa facilities such as the vitality pool, sauna, steam room and relaxation area.
